I've always dreamed of writing a book and could even picture myself in my own personal studio diligently creating page after page of written words that would inspire people to... (screech)... to... )mind shut down)... to do what? Ummmmmm... interesting question! This was a question that has haunted me for years. Although I KNEW there was a book inside of me, I just had no idea what it wanted to be. Or what to do with it if it ever came out! So my dream became hope that turned into inaction.

Fast forward... I became a health coach and combined health coaching with my life coach training to support people in finally... FINALLY... losing weight and gaining health. It was during my time with clients that I realized I was answering the same questions over and over again -- to intelligent people with plenty of resources.

I realized that if my clients were asking these questions, then many others must be searching for answers to the same questions. Worse, I also realized that these wonderful people were being mislead, hoodwinked and led astray by diet industry confusion. Even worse, their metabolism, their confidence, and their lives were paying an unfair price.

One year later, my book, Unlock Your Metabolism, was born! And just as with any new mother, I stared at it wondering what to do next. I learned there are several options these days to get your book in the hands of buyers. I could:

1) Go the traditional route -- pitch my book to publishers hoping someone would embrace it and publish it for me. Although I eventually do want to go this route, I want to make immediate income from the book and begin the process sooner. For now, I've crossed this option off my current "to do" list.

2) Self publish, utilizing self publishing sites such as Lulu.com, Blurb.com, and Createspace.com. I could publish the book myself and then distribute it directly through my website, on Kindle, i-pad or Amazon.com. Createspace.com is a subsidiary of Amazon so publishing with this site eases you into publishing on Amazon. I do want to hold a hard copy of my book in my hands, put it under my pillow (grin), and share it at speaking engagements so I will absolutely go this route very soon.

But my choice for now is...

3) Create my own personal army of sales people. After speaking to many people, I learned that electronic publishing, in the form of e-books and other electronic products, was one of the quickest and surest routes of distribution, especially when you utilize an affiliate site such as Clickbank.com to support you. On sites such as ClickBank.com, people select products that they want to promote, by becoming an affiliate, and receive a commission for each sell they make. Start-up cost is low (just $50) and the advantages are numerous, with the most important being broadening your audiences and your reach.

By finding affiliates, my book has the potential of landing in more hands than I ever could have accomplished alone. Yes, I do give away a portion of my profits, but I see it as receiving a smaller piece of a much larger pie. Plus, once publishers see how many people are buying my electronic version, my chances of interesting them in my book increases.

If there is a book inside you, know there are many options to support you in presenting it to the world. Then, let your creativity flow. To learn more about my book, visit www.UnlockYourMetabolism.com.
